Rev Dr Marc Rader 

Marc is the senior pastor at Gymea Baptist Church in the south of Sydney and a member of faculty (part-time) at Morling College where he lectures in Biblical Studies and Preaching. In 2013 he completed a D.Min exploring how preachers could obtain effective feedback. An engaging Bible teacher Marc’s preaching is featured on the Australian Christian Channel (New Horizons). Originally from Canada Marc he has spent over twenty years in Australia with his Aussie wife and three teenage daughters.

Dr Jason Atkinson

Jason teaches Old Testament and Hebrew at the Brisbane School of Theology (BST) in both the English and Chinese departments. He has a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in the United States and a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh with a focus on Biblical Studies (Old Testament).

Rev Dr Peter Francis

Peter is the incoming Principal of Malyon College. After a 10 year career as a high school teacher, Peter entered into Pastoral Ministry. Over a period of 23 years Peter pastored at Cleveland Baptist, Beenleigh Baptist and the City Tabernacle Baptist Church. During this time he also served as a Regional Consultant with Queensland Baptists for 2 years. Peter regularly preaches in churches and has shared in a variety of Bible teaching conferences. He is married with 3 grown children and has a passion to invest in the next generation of missional leaders.

Ruth Tuxworth

Ruth Tuxworth has worked in a range of teaching ministries over a thirty year career.  She was a teacher in primary and high school settings before entering Bible college at BCQ – now BST.  In the far North, she was employed by Scripture Union training RE and Sunday school teachers, as well as beach mission and VBS programs.   She served for five years as high school chaplain at Faith Academy in Manila working with around 300 students – the children of missionaries from all over Asia.  There, she learned the value of authenticity, kindness and vulnerability in teaching.  She is now employed by her local church as a teacher in Sunday services as well as speaking for conferences.

Dr Ian Hussey

Between 1993 and 2010 Ian was solo/Senior Pastor of Nundah/North-East Baptist church during which time the church grew from 35 to 500 people. Ian commenced at Malyon in 2011 and is the Director of Postgraduate Studies and the Online Content Developer.  He also teaches New Testament and Introductory Preaching. Ian is the Director of the Malyon Preaching Centre and regularly preaches in Queensland Baptist Churches. Hid research interests in preaching include listener’s experiences of preaching, vulnerability and the particular issues related to preaching to Australian congregations.
